GREEN CORRIDOR, DARTFORD, KENT

LHLA was appointed by Stone Parish Council to prepare a Green Corridor Study for an Air Quality Management Area (AQMA) designated on a congested ‘A’ road close to the M25 and the Dartford Crossing.

The study was required as evidence for the Stone Neighbourhood Plan. Air pollution is identified by the World Health Organisation (WHO) as the single largest enviromental risk to health; road transport emissions are the largest source of urban air pollution in the UK. Green infrastructure is vital to mitigate poor air quality.

LHLA cross referenced this Green Corridor Study with the AECOM Stone Pedestrian & Cycle Plan to identify and prioritise potential projects for delivery as part of the Stone Neighbourhood Plan.
